PROJECT MANAGER POSITION AT NERDYMIND (TEMP/CONTRACT)

This is a temporary/contract position.

You have a fiery desire to improve NerdyMind and make us the most efficient small business in the world. The NERD in this position knows that small businesses don’t have to act or think small. This person will be jazzed about AGILE philosophies while finding creative ways to automate redundant tasks and improve project deployments. Customer satisfaction is at the top of their mind at all times. This person thinks project management is super fun and exciting, and they love variety and switching gears all day long! Finding ways to integrate AI into NerdyMind’s workflows will be a big effort company-wide, and we want this position to be involved in those efforts.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helping manage website and app projects (projects include website redesigns, app builds, app maintenance, app improvements, integrations, CRM setups, and more)
  • Tracking time to projects in our system with clear, concise notes
  • Creating project plans and schedules
  • Communicating clearly with internal NERDS and external clients and partners
  • Protecting project budgets and running our change order process
  • Assisting Digital Strategists who are leading accounts
  • Attending meetings to stay in the loop (or helping set up AI notes when unavailable)
  • Taking notes/posting AI notes in Teamwork (our PM software)
  • Setting monthly tasks from the Digital Strategists retainer planning documents
  • Holding NERDS and customers accountable for their deliverables
  • Assisting account leaders with meeting coordination and communications
  • Helping execute our appropriate onboarding processes
  • Maintaining NerdyMind’s “Teamwork” account
  • Staying on top of it regularly instead of a big annual “Spring Cleaning”
  • Helping maintain our Google Drive account (organization and cleanliness)
  • Accurate time tracking and adding super clear notes to each time entry
  • Communicating with the CEO if there are questions about change orders, budget, etc.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Making PM a priority and focusing on position responsibilities first and foremost
  • Tracking a full shift each work day with high quality task notes (thinking in 15 minute “chunks”)
  • Managing website budgets effectively (minimizing overages where possible through efficiencies)
  • Managing communicated budget overages with leadership
  • Customer satisfaction levels (minimizing customer complaints)
  • Helping the CEO step away from account management as much as possible so she can focus on business development, networking, our own marketing, and helping with internal process improvements
  • Project efficiency, time to deployment, and adherence to due dates
  • Speaking up and communicating clearly when something is feeling “off” or “wrong”

WORK HOURS and OTHER INFO:

  • This is a contract/temporary position from approximately May 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026 (but after the temporary period expires, we can certainly discuss the potential for a permanent role!)
  • We are looking for someone who can work a minimum of 24 hours per week
  • Pay will be be dependent on experience, but somewhere between $25-$35 per hour (negotiable)
  • We offer a hybrid work environment that allows NERDS to work from home, or from a dedicated desk at our office in KILN (in Old Town Fort Collins). KILN is an amazing place to work with tons of perks like snacks at 10am and 2pm, along with a gym, plenty of classes and social events, and more.
  • We would need this position to be present during business hours, which is from 8am-5pm (Monday through Friday)
