Keep Working in This Semi-Free World

Pop art icon and contemporary graphic designer Shepard Fairey made quite the impression in the Mile-High City last Friday, August 3rd during an awesome panel discussion & book signing at the Center for Visual Art (CVA).  He also left behind a mural that stated "Bright Future" and features two classic cars with one in flames.

While attending the panel discussion I heard Mr. Fairey address how street art translates into communication design, what materials inspire him, and what influences his work. Artists Evan Hecox and Jim Houser were also included in the discussion, where they shared their passion for illustration and fine art.
