Graphic & Web Designer

We’re looking for a Graphic/Web Designer to join NerdyMind.

Skills are important, but cultural fit has the potential to trump experience in many cases. This person will positively contribute to our culture through strong collaboration with all NERDS, and will maintain a great attitude through constant change. The ideal candidate is awesome at tactfully handing out (and receiving) constructive feedback, along with taking control of the position’s key performance indicators (more on that below). This person is going to be extremely motivated when it comes to providing unique creative that makes our clients come back for more. Agency experience in a marketing environment will give you a huge leg up. We’re looking for someone who can work efficiently and quickly, while finding balance with quality.


  • Working on various website designs based on approved wireframes from the Digital Strategy team
  • Following best usability practices in web design
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS will really help you in this role
  • Working with the Project Manager to make sure we are staying within budget
  • Properly tracking time in Harvest
  • Properly following Project Management workflows and processes
  • Helping the CEO come up with proposal numbers for clients
  • Communicating with the CEO and the PM when you feel a project is going over budget
  • Maintaining a clean, organized file naming and storage structure
  • Building organized, clean design files that are properly layered and labeled
  • Researching competitive visual landscapes and coming up with ideas for our clients to stand out in the crowd
  • Working with the Digital Strategy team to come up with unique campaign ideas for our marketing clients
  • When prompted by the President/CEO – this position will likely help with various internal projects.
  • Working and being comfortable with utilizing various website platform Content Management Systems (WordPress, etc.)
  • Ability to design within a 12 column grid and/or within various web standards
  • Ability to help with branding projects by conceptualizing and designing logo mocks

  • 70-75% of the designer's time is billable to clients
